10 Typography Rules ⭐️
Courtesy of @rebrandesign
Another day, another pack of useful design tips, which I really do use by myself.
Hope you will find them helpful because typography is one of the most important parts of design nowadays.
Use 1-Z fonts
Until you understand how to complement different fonts avoid using more than 1. lf you are not convinced, try fonts from different classifications to create contrast. DO NOT USE pair of SERIF + SERIF, SLAB + SLAB, etc…
why? lt’s easier to find and read! You can align right sometimes ( if it’s necessary for a composition ) but always be critical and check your alignment.
Confused by sizes?
Try x2 rule. lf you are using 64 for your headers, pick 32 for your body text. Try this in your next project, you will be impressed.
Let letters breathe!
lt’s very important to work with spacing between rows of text. Keep in mind that you need to always make sure that you must have a bigger gap between different text blocks than within one block.
GOLDEN Line Height
Do you struggle to find perfect line-height? Breathe, my friend all work was done for you already. Just multiply (font size) * 1.5 or 1,618 and the result will be a perfect match!
