What type of prototyping do you use to test your ideas? Do you sketch or open your favorite prototyping tool to rapidly make something?

I personally do both, depends on the circumstance 🙌

Interacting with something tangible provides much value. In the design process, it's worthwhile to build tangible prototypes of your ideas, to put in front of users to test and gather feedback from. This is the best way to validate the assumptions you have with your design.
Lo-Fi prototyping Low-fidelity prototyping is something that requires minimum resources and maximises the speed of creating something tangible to test and validate.
Benefits of Lo-Fi prototyping - Rapidly create and test
- Disposable/throw-away
- Use minimal time and effort
- Don't focus on details
- Anyone can contribute
- Sparks ideas from all the team
Hi-Fi prototyping High-fidelity prototypes are models that look and work like the finished product. They're more engaging and can benefit more when testing your ideas.
Benefits of Hi-Fi prototyping - Higher validility during testing
- Produce an accurate model
- Re-sue elements with UI Design
- Test animations and functions and functionality
- Share digitally
- Can be tasted remotely
