Last week I read the book «Hooked» by @neyal99 which is basically about the techniques and patterns used to build habit-forming digital products.

I summed up my key learning for you but I highly recommend reading this book 📕

1. The Trigger 
External: An event that gets us to try a product the first time ( e.g. a tv commercial). Internal: Trying to overcome a specific feeling ( e.g. loneliness, boredom etc.)

Action 
Doing things that we need to do in order to use a product e.g. creating an account, comment, like and share something, check if people have liked the post etc.

The fullfilment of the need that originally motivates us to take an action for example being entertained if the motivation was boredom.

Over the time, the internal triggers become stronger so that eventually the user will not even think about it.

If we make a nental connectio between a product and the desired solution of a problem we form a trigge to our product .
