Here are 3 principal steps: ⁣

⁣🛑Step 1

Get the data

1️⃣ Collect The Information About Your Users (that you already did during the user research)⁣

2️⃣ Identify Behavioral Patterns From Research Data⁣

3️⃣ Create Persona Documentation⁣⁣⁣

🛑Step 2⁣

So how do we identify Behavioral Patterns? ⁣⁣

1️⃣List all of the behavioral variables (ways in which users behavior differs, like «Frequent traveler» against «rare traveler» and so on)⁣

2️⃣ Map each interviewee against the appropriate set of variables⁣

3️⃣ Identify trends: find a set of people clustering across six or eight variables. These trends form the basis of each persona⁣⁣

(see the illustration and example in the gallery)⁣⁣⁣

🛑Step 3⁣

Assemble a persona’s descriptions around behavioral patterns⁣⁣

In general, it should include: ⁣

📍Persona name (fictional)⁣

📍Demographics (gender, age, location, marital status, family)⁣

📍Goals and needs⁣

📍Frustrations (or «pain points»)⁣

📍Behaviors⁣

📍Bits of personality (a quote or slogan capturing personality)⁣⁣⁣

🛑TIP: ⁣

Just google George Olsen. He has developed a comprehensive list of all the factors that can be considered for persona description.⁣⁣⁣

Three Steps 1. Collect the information about your users
2. Identify behavioral patterns from research data
3. Create persona documentation
Identify behavioral patterns 1. Once research is finished, list all of the behavioral variables (i.e. ways in which users behavior differed).
2. Map each interviewee against the appropriate set of variables.
3. Identify trends: find a set of people clustering across six or eight variables. These trends form the basis of each persona.
Define variables -> Mapping interviewee's -> Clustering patterns
Example
Assemble a persona's descriptions around behavioral patterns.
Include: 1. Persona name (fictional)
2. Photo (fictional)
3. Demographics (gender, age, location, marital status, family)
4. Goals and needs
5. Frustrations (or 'pain points')
6. Behaviors
7. Bits of personality (a quote or slogan capturing personality)
Tip: Google: George Olsen has developed a comprehensive list of all the factors that can be considered for persona description.
